Gary Skiba, owner, and operator of GS Custom Services, has provided a variety of firearms-related services to the Tampa Bay community for over 35 years. These Services include:

• Producing premium remanufactured ammunition for both pistol and rifle calibers
• Producing custom pistol and rifle ammunition to customer specifications
• Gunsmith services – repairing, modifying, and detail cleaning of firearms
• Firearms Training

Gary conceived the CATPAD symbol and philosophy in 1992 endeavoring to generate a trademark for a new line of ammunition. In the planning process, it originally stood for Consistent Accuracy Through Practice and Desire. However, as the business developed, it evolved into Consistent Achievement Through Practice and Desire, and it became our personal and business philosophy.

The Zen like nature of the motto emerged as the guiding principle of the business and inspired the Asian brush style type used in the graphic. The focal point of the graphic is a lion’s paw print and came from the acronym CATPAD. Gary chose the lion because of it’s size and strength, as well as it is the master of its environment.

This series of letters – LWPGS – has appeared on every box of ammunition produced by us since we started the business in 1992. People have guessed that it is some sort of inventory code, product category, or a batch identification. Over the years, there has been lots of interesting and even entertaining guesswork. However, few have actually figured out what it really means. Like the CATPAD philosophy above, it reflects how we feel about what we do every day. It stands for, Loaded With Pride by Gary Skiba.
