New Business Hours — By Customer Request
GS Custom has served the Tampa Bay firearms community for over 40 years, with an average workweek of 60 hours. Looking forward to our eventual retirement in the next year or so, we have decided to slow down the pace a bit. We will continue to offer a range of firearms services, including gunsmith services, gun repair, installation of gun accessories, such as scopes, sights, trigger kits, as well as gun cleaning and inspection, and firearms training.
As we transition to a fully service-based business, we will not be keeping standard business hours. We will be open to the public on Thursday and Friday and on an appointment basis Monday through Wednesday. You may make an appointment either by email at gscustom@netzero.net or by phone at 727-541-2200.

Custom Ammo Loading Available
We have closed out our ammunition inventory and have discontinued this part of our business. However, we will custom load ammo for you on demand.
If you want to supply the brass, projectiles, primers, and powder, we will load the ammunition for you. Call Gary at 727-541-2200 for a quote.
Rescue Your Flood-Damaged Firearms
We Still Receive Flood-Damaged Guns In 2026
The hurricanes of September and October 2024 caused devastating damage throughout the Tampa Bay area. The storms resulted in thousands of damaged firearms. We continue to receive these firearms in batches from a few to as many as 150 at a time. If you have damaged firearms, contact us immediately to help you preserve them.
Gary is on a mission to save as many of the handguns and long guns our customers continue to bring us. Fortunately, we have been successful in getting them back to their owners on a rapid basis. We have had several individuals who have brought us firearms left at other shops that were not able to complete the restoration on a timely basis. The critical restoration process requires fast action to restore them to their original condition and return them to their owners. Time is the enemy of a completely successful restoration, so don’t delay.
The rehabilitation process for each firearm involves removing all the rust possible, ultrasonic cleaning and lubrication, and performing a detailed inspection to ensure proper operating functionality. Gunsmith Services
Since the time of our founders, gun owners have known the importance of keeping their firearms in good repair and operational readiness. GS Custom can clean, inspect, and repair your firearm. Of course, we can also install and fit accessories such as sights, lasers, stocks, threaded barrels, and improved triggers. There is a minimum shop charge of $40.
