I had my Sig P365 damaged in the flood caused by Helene. I thought for sure it was toast, it was rusted shut from the salt water. I took it to Gary to see if there was any hope, even the trigger wouldn't move. Gary said no problem, it would be like new, and it would be ready the next day. I was very skeptical. We'll, let me tell you. It was like new!!! I couldn't believe it!! Gary, you are the best!!!​​

I've purchased numerous custom 1911's and rifles from GS Custom over the years and Gary's work is always exceptional. I've also been using his ammunition for many years in a variety of calibers and it all performs flawlessly. When you shoot thousands of rounds a year - the savings are significant. Gary runs a great company and deserves the support of the local shooting community.

Spoke with Gary about my model 66 S&W revolver failing to ignite every cartridge. He suggested checking the hammer spring tension screw before troubling to bring the gun into the shop. Followed his instructions. The screw needed 3/4 of a turn before bottoming out. Just back from the range where it fired every round I fed it. Thank you Gary. I'd give you 100 stars if available. Gary is easy to talk to, very personable and ethical.

I visited Gary at GS Custom guns & Ammo earlier today with an issue I was having with my Glock 21, 45 cal. I had managed to get the barrel assembly off the rails when I reassembled it and I had no luck in resolving that issue. It took Gary less than 5 minutes to restore my gun to a working condition. He is my go-to guy in the future whenever I have a firearm issue. I'd give him more than 5 stars if that were an option.

Gary did an excellent job in his weapons training course that my son and 3 neighbors took this past Saturday. He explained all the safety, shooting techniques, and maintenance of firearms. We will definitely go back to GS Custom Guns and Ammo for all of our firearm needs.

I purchased a Colt Commander when the rumors about Colt going out of business were rampant a couple of years ago instead of another vendor’s bobtailed .45, I was also considering. The Commander is a pleasure, but I still wanted a bobtail. I found an Ed Brown bobtail online and thought about installing it myself. Luckily, I contacted Gary before undertaking the job. Gary said he could do the modification, but wondered about the sensibility of modifying a Colt, saying the mod was not easily reversible, I’d have to get a new frame, and that it was very likely a bobtailed Colt would lose some of its resale value. I appreciated his candor and assured him I really did want the work done. Turned out the Ed Brown bobtail was not compatible with the rig he had to relocate the new bobtail mainspring housing pin hole and he had to make one. When Gary called and said the gun was ready, I was really excited. My excitement turned to pleasure when I saw the gun, it looked like it came from the Colt factory that way. Gary did an excellent job and I would very definitely recommend his services and the G&S ammo. Thanks

WOW I just got home from being at Bill Jackson's with Gary. He really took the time to tell and show me the things I needed to know to shoot a handgun. Very pleasant to be around. Yesterday, Gary installed Trijicon sights on my G26.4 in about 10 minutes -- for a walk-in. Let me watch and ask questions. No waiting, no side-sell or up-sell. Easy going and agreeable.

A year ago, he also inspected and serviced the 12ga shotgun, 1912 vintage, that I found in a closet, after Dad passed away.

Just had my shooting lesson with Gary and it was AWESOME!!!! He works with you on what you specifically need. For me, it was grip, sight alignment, stance etc. The greatest part is the one on one attention to detail and the amount of time he takes teaching you what you're wanting as an end goal! We also put some of his Ammo through my Baretta and she ate it up!!....that's a big deal as my Baretta is extremely picky with ammo!
