Competitive Shooters – Get the Right Ammunition
GS Custom makes high-quality competition-grade ammo. If you are a competitive shooter or a shooter who wants a competitive edge with your target shooting, GS Custom can supply ammunition. All of our ammunition, including our 9mm 147 gr FMJ rounds, is manufactured to the most demanding needs of competitors. We use the highest quality components, including Federal Premium® primers and Hodgdon TiteGroup™ powder. These subsonic rounds exceed the minimum requirements for minor power factors.
Mastering accuracy depends on proper technique, controlling recoil, and ensuring the proper cycling of the firearm. These 9mm 147 gr FMJ rounds help you meet these goals by balancing bullet weight, velocity, type, and overall length.
Competitive Shooters
As a competitive shooter or a shooter who wants a competitive edge with your target shooting, you know that firearms function differently with various ammunition component combinations. GS Custom will help you find the best balance of these components to achieve maximum performance from your firearm. We help you meet these goals by creating cartridges that balance bullet weight, velocity, type, and overall length.
Competitors can choose to shoot either Major or Minor Power Factor. Shooting Major, heavier faster loads, is harder to control but receives more points in scoring. Minor, lighter slower loads, is easier to shoot but receives fewer points in scoring. Each Power Factor has a minimum requirement, calculated by multiplying bullet weight in grains times velocity in feet per second divided by 1000. The minimum for a Major is 165 and for a Minor is 125.
Our custom ammunition group will create rounds to meet your exact load requirements and OAL using your powder and projectiles. We will make twenty test rounds to your exact specifications for each variation. Our nominal fee includes equipment setup and labor.
